First, STOP lifting for a day or two. Chances are you have pulled a bicep or started a rotator cuff injury, neither of which you want. Take an Ibuprofen every 6 hours for two days, less if it doesn't ache. Alternate ice for 20 min then cold for 20 min at least twice a day but mostly let it relax! You are young enough that it should heal quickly, but you MUST give it at least a day or two if not a full week to heal.

Experience having suffered a dislocated shoulder and a pulled bicep. This is what the doctor told me right before I was put in a sling for two weeks.

You could have just trapped a nerve under a muscle to give you that pain. Freeing up your back muscles will free up your back muscles and release anything that may be trapped under them. Here's how to free up your back muscles to release those things:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
