1. How long are you napping? If it is more than 20 minutes then you are awakening from a deeper sleep and the body has been tricked into thinking it has started a full nights sleep. One you go past 20 minutes in a nap you are starting to get into slow wave sleep and after 90 minutes REM (Rapid Eye Movement) Sleep. The idea of a nap is to avoid both of these sleep stages.
Do not nap after using Alcohol or any type of sedative.
as these again will effect the level of sleep that the brain attain
