How did the ER doc know I was already on Percoset?!

Question: How did the ER doc know I was already on Percoset?
I recently went to the ER for a suspected kidney stone, and they did a urine drug test without permission. I am already on Percoset for a sacroilitis and was not seeking more narcotics with the ER visit. It was a Friday night and could not get to my PCP until monday. I did not tell the ER doc that I was taking narcotics already because when I have done that in the past they label you a "drug seeker" and either refuse to treat you or undertreat your pain. In the ER, after I had a CT scan the doctor came into my room and said he knew who my PCP was and exactly how much I was prescribed. I was floored and embarassed. I explained that I did not need painkillers from him, but wanted to know If I had a stone. But the doctor had already made up his mind and treated me like crap. I want to know how he knew. Is there some kind of database that monitors who is prescribed what? Do all doctors and pharmacies in WA state have this capability? I feel like my privacy has totally beeen violated.

It's actually dangerous to not tell them what drugs you are on. If they had treated you for something it could have interacted. They need to know.

There are states that can look that up, also was it in the same hospital system? If it was they could have simply looked it up in the medical record system. Or they found it in your urine.

If you gave them a urine sample you gave them permission to run the tests. You may be feeling bad that you weren't up front with him now but it's too late and he is looking at you for what you didn't want him to. But you omitted that information from the form which he found out about. Time to let it go unless you didn't know they took your urine sample.
The pain your are having in with your sacroilitis is probably due to tight muscles in your lower back pressing onto the nerves there to cause that pain. To get rid of the pain you have to free up your back muscles and here's how to do that:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
