Emergency: I cut accidentally myself on a knife, help?!

Question: Emergency: I cut accidentally myself on a knife, help?
My parents don't have the money for the hospital, and I'd rather not tell my parents. My middle finger was cut on a knife that I was using to cut my jeans. It's a large inch-thick steel knife, probably a hunting knife, and it cut my finger. The cut is... not very thick ,as it appears, but it's on my knuckle and it feels like its swelling. When I bend my finger, it looks kind of thick and it appears to be swelling. Should I tell my parents or stick to the tissues and tape I have wrapped around it? I have gauge somewhere, but I don't know where.

Because it's on an area of your hand that moves quite a bit I'm sorry to say that they might need to put in a stitch or two in order to keep it closed so it can heal with less scarring. Sometimes "not deep" =
deep enough". If I were you I'd at least show it to your parents, I'm sure they love you and won't beat you (probably) for accidentally cutting yourself....it happens to the best of us.

Good luck to you!

For Fukcs sake, wash it out with soap and water, and put a adhesive bandage over it. ITS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE... Unless you accidentally amputated your hand off, you'll be fine!

Tell your parents if it has an infection your screwed if you can't go to the hospital.

DO IT QUICKLY

STOP BEING A P*$$Y and RUB SOME DIRT ON IT
