I'm getting shots today...?!

I'm getting shots today...?

I'm going to the dr.'s today and i'm getting a "series" of shots. I have seen on tv that coughing while taking the shot helps to numb the pain. Is this true? if not, are there any ideas? i kind of have a fear of needles and pain.

i usually just talk to the person so i don't focus on the needle. and when i have someone who really knows what they are doing i don't even know that it went it. good luck and i promise, it will be over before you know it.
