What does heartburn feel like?!

Question: What does heartburn feel like?
I have heard of people say that it feels like burning in their chest. Others say they feel pain in their chest. I have heard that it feels like your food is coming right back up. I had really spicy food today earlier and now I feel an uncomfortable mild pain in my chest. Could it be heartburn? I would say a 2 from 1-10 in pain. Thanks for reading.

Answers:

It might be heartburn, it's different for different people. Heartburn is technically a backup of stomach acid, and that's what it feels like to me - an acidy burning, but probably about a 7 on a scale of 1-10 of pain. The important thing to remember is that heartburn isn't dangerous, but if you feel it for over an hour, a trip to the doctors may be beneficial, just to stay on the safe side, as it may be a sign of something else. :)

Think of heartburn like a thermometer. The worse it gets, the closer the acid moves to the top.

It probably was heartburn.

Heartburn feels like a burning heart.
You could have alternatively had Acid reflux.

Sorry, I've never had it. I've often wondered that same thing myself.
