Treating an abrasion?

What is the best way to take care of an abrasion that may still have debris in it...that can not be removed without disturbing tissue?

It sounds like road rash, I am sorry that must hurt. But even though it hurts, it must be treated properly to prevent infection and tissue damage. And I'm glad you asked.
