pain in my hand after surgery?!

Question: Pain in my hand after surgery?
i broke my metacarpal in my hand and had screws placed in my hand about 8 months ago and now i have a pretty harsh pain in my hand. i was wondering what would my doctor prescribe me if i was to tell him. i tried over the counter pain meds but they seem to not work at all
any ideas what he would prescribe me?
im 18 and in good health
im also left handed and i have the screws in my left hand :/ which kinda sucks because working kinda gets hard when the pain doesnt go away.
maybe its the screws in my hand.. should i have them taken out?

When I got in my accident the Drs gave me percocets. I also got screws but in my leg and in my ankle. If the DR prescribes you something & you don;t think it will be strong enough just be upfront with them and tell them Doc those pills arent going to help me I need something stronger and they will most likely up your dose to something stronger, that Is what I did.
