Is a temperature of 95.0 F normal?!

Question: Is a temperature of 95.0 F normal?
So I have a temperature of 95 F and I'm not pregnant.. I also have a cold that has lasted since 2/15/11

Answers:

98.6 is a normal temperature according to the books however, most people run a temperature around 97.0, which is normal for them, up to 99, which is normal for others. 95.0 is low and I would think that either your thermometer is not working properly or you didn't have it in your mouth properly. You should also wait about 15 mins after eating or drinking anything before taking your temperature. Any time an adult has a temperature over 101 that is considered a high fever. However, a child can have a temperature of 101 and not feel nearly as bad as an adult would with that same temperature. If your temperature is 105 it is serious, especially for an adult, but it does not mean you are going to die soon. It does mean you should take a fever reducer and see a doctor as soon as possible. Try retaking your temperature with a fresh battery in your thermometer and make sure you haven't had anything to eat or drink for at least 15 minutes and I think you'll find it will be normal. Sometimes if you have a stuffy nose or cold it's difficult to get an accurate reading with a thermometer. If that's the case put the thermometer under your arm. Add one degree to the reading.

You probably are using the wrong thermometer or have it set to the wrong setting. I do this all the time with my electric one. Sometimes wen the battery is dying that happens also. A normal temp is 98.7 anything higher to 99 is slight fever that to 102 is a high fever 105 to 107 means ue about to die. Anything less then 98 means there is something wrong with the thermometer.

A temperature below about 95.0 could be mild hypothermia.
