Tips on getting to sleep?!


Question: Tips on getting to sleep?
I've tried a milky drink and counting sheep. Any more ideas?

Sleep pill?



change sheets and shower. If you are already in bed turn off your computer the harsh light wont help and your brain will think you want it to be active!
try some nice music film themes or classical something soft and on repeat so your mind starts to switch off and relax.
if you really cant sleep get up with some DIM lighting have some water sit in your living room and read but avoid tv phones and any other bright light stimulating things.
glass of wine might help its relaxing or a baileys.
hate when you cant sleep worst thing ever!



a spoon of honey in warm milk before bed i read this on the internet the other day not tried it yet i also have sleeping problems to get myself to sleep sometimes i keep my eyes open for aslong as possible without blinking if you blink just carry on keeping your eyes open it makes your eyes tyred i thought of this myself then after awhile read on the internet about it try it it works



when your mind is full of thoughts u can't have a good sleep.
clean and rearrange your home giving it new appearance. remove all the unnecessary things and make arrangements to improve security. have a wash every evening and wear clean, light clothes. take dinner at least half an hour before u go to bed.it is ok if u take your dinner much earlier. but have something before u go to bed. brush your teeth and use bathroom just before u go to bed.this will help for a continuous sleep. switch off all the bulbs and go to bed.keep on counting from 100-1 until u fall sleep.keep your concentration on that.when ever your mind goes away start counting again.this will be harder at start.but keep on.this will help u a lot. go to bed at the time u feel sleepy and sleep about 7-8 hours. keep a regular time to go to bed and wake up. so as time passes your body will act according to that time.don't forget to take your breakfast.

When I can't sleep - happens alot - I put on something really boring on my TV. Like something historical from the 16th century maye. A guy talking with a very monotome boring voice.

Well - That is what I find boring - maybe you can find something else.

Shut off all lights, go to a silent area of the house.
get a clock that ticks, (It helps, I know)
I come from a line of heavy sleepers but they seemed to have missed a generation.

Besides warm milk, other common sleep aids include Melatonin, 5-HTP, Valerian and Chamomile tea.



Try listening to music before you go to sleep, or read a book.
reading makes your eyes tired, then you just doze off :)



get some exercise early in the day.... don't drink any caffeine 6 or 7 hours before bedtime



Stop thinking about stuff and then try
