Does getting a boot cast hurt?!

Question: Does getting a boot cast hurt?
On Jan 29 I broke my Tibia and Fibula. On March 2 i'm getting a Boot. I'm skipping the knee high cast because my dr is very happy where and how my bones are healing. I'm nine years old. Is it going to hurt when they put on the cast? How about when they take off my old cast?

Answers:

no it does not hurt to get the boot. it feels a lot better then a cast trust me! and nope it tickles when you get your old cast off. i had ankle ligament reconstructive surgery on my right ankle on January 10th and was in a knee high fiber glass cast for 8 days and then i got the boot and i am still in the boot. it's been like 4 or so weeks and still have it for another 2 weeks and it felt a lot better! good luck with everything!
