has anyone else suffered this pain ?!

i have a constant ache in the bottom of my stomach, it feels like a constant period pain and its very uncomfortable, its been like this for about 6 weeks now, i went to my gp but because hes retired the doctor thats filling in wasnt very helpful and said i will get an appointment for a scan in the next 4 wks and will see the nurse in 2 weeks for an examination, he did say however that its not normal for me to have this pain, has anyone else been through this ? could it be fibroids ect, i had a large ovarian cyst 2 years ago that weighed 7pounds and they took my left ovary out when they operated on it and all went well, but i dont feel my gp helped much and 4 weeks for a scan is a long time i think, im 38 have normal periods and never suffered this before, what could be going on ???
