I was addicted to oxycodone 30mg for 5 years and now suffer from anxiety/nervous!

Question: I was addicted to oxycodone 30mg for 5 years and now suffer from anxiety/nervousness. What do I do?
I have been clean now for 3 months and I suffer from anxiety/nervousness. I am very focused on starting a new life and not going back to the hell of a life I lived before. I have been trying to drink alot of calming teas but it still doesnt seem to work that well. I have started school again and tried focusing my attention on important things but everyday I still feel this feeling inside. I do not have health insurance and Im unemployed so I do not have the money to go see a psychiatrist. What can I do to stop these feelings?

build your system up take - evening primrose oil capsules, cod liver oil and iron, eat well, you could have a small amount of wine in the evening but only if you can stick to a small amount, if you have an addictive personality maybe that's not such a good suggestion, but you must have treats and rewards for your efforts, maybe tea and cakes?

You weren't on benzos as well? Prescribed and solo?
1. Congrats!
2. Keep it up!

oxycodone 30 mg. 5 yrs.
Good news: if just opiates you have been through some of the rough patches, expect another few months and up to 18 months to feel more real but it is gradual. .... but if only 30mg of roxycodone you should have cleared the hard part.

So you are no longer in pain? OR you are taking 800 plus mg of motrin daily and still trying to deal?

Anxiety & nervousness are side effects of the extended withdrawal. You rewired your brain chemistry. It has to find its way back. (GABA receptors) It is hard but try to breath through that ugly, empty feeling (terror/vacuum), and see if there is a support group around.

Why would you see a psychiartrist? More pills? Aren't you a bit more skeptical of drs yet? they are in a business.
