Question: Kidney stones..how long does the bad pains last?
went to doc this morning and he did catscan and said I have a 4mm kidney stone..I asked this before and everyone just says til it passes...well DUHHH im not a moron...I'm just asking if someone could give me a ballpark time of how long the severe pains last, 2 hours, 5 hours?, 10 hours, 20 hours?????

iI used to work with a doctor who told all his patients to drink beer. He said that it was the best diuretic in the world and they would surely pass that stone without pain. Seemed to work. Do you have a small strainer.{small holed one.2 cup size} Pee in it and you will see in it when you pass the stone.When ever.....

You didn't get a time frame because there is no time frame. Everyone is different. It all depends on how fast the stone moves through you. Could be 2 hrs., could be 24 hrs.
