What causes you to pull a muscle?!


Question: What causes you to pull a muscle?
It's been happening to me alot recently in my foot for some reason. Does anyone know why?

Not enough water in your tissues... drink half your weight in ounces of water a day... what the body needs since you are 97% water.

Not enough vitamin C in your diet. You need 1000 mg's a day believe it or not to properly function since you don't store C.

Not stretching the muscles well enough.

Could have a mild tendenitis so treat the symptoms by moist heat before you use the limb and ice it down afterwards.



Lactic acid builds up very quickly in the muscle if it is over-worked. This acid is what causes the pain, but it disperses eventually, which is why it can take ages for a pulled muscle to heal.
