Ganglion or Repetitive Straining Injury?!

Question: Ganglion or Repetitive Straining Injury?
I have had problems with my wrist for some years now, but have only started to really notice strong pains when moving my wrists. I'm 15 and type alot. Every month or so my wrists come up with a small lump when my wrists are bent at a right angle, when i put pressure on the bump it hurts and the pain goes down my arm. I've been told by some people it's an RSI, but my brother has the same problem and has been diagnosed of having a ganglion, however he has a larger bump that me. Also if you have any advice on how to reduce it, please tell. thanks! :)
