Question: How can i make my boyfriend stop smoking :/?
i found out yesterday that my auntie is on life support in hospital with lung cancer.. all because of smoking.
odds are she wont reach next week, and its killing me..
my boyfriend smokes, and i have told him many times to stop because i cant end up losing him too.
my boyfriend is schizophrenic and smoking calms him down,
but there must be another way?
is there any way i can persuade him?

Well,with most relationships? There is really no way of forcing your partner to just stop smoking or doing whatever habit or addiction he/she may be doing to their health or whatever the cause you may have for trying to force them to stop doing whatever it may be.You may be able to persuade him into a stop smoking patch or the gum.But...again,the decision is his alone to make,and forcing him to do it isn't going to work.Just makes matters even worse all the way around,but persuasion can help by offer support along with it.Just try offering the suggest of the smokers patches and the gum...both are good in helping those who smoke to stop,but takes time,support and will power.Good luck,and I hope your auntie doesn't suffer.GOD BLESS.
