Cut on inside of my 4th toe?!

Question: Cut on inside of my 4th toe?
It's not deep but there's some skin hanging off and a thick sticky white liquid coming out (not pus) would a plaster deal with it and im guessing its not wise to wear socks?

just apply antiseptic and put a band aid on it but make sure to let air get to it at least once a day during the night. Keep it really clean cos it would be easy to get an infection on the foot as we walk on dirty floors etc all day. so wash it out daily with warm water apply antiseptic and then a band aid for during the day.

Hope it heals up soon cuts on the toes are a pain in the butt!

It sounds like it might be infected. Clean it with water and antiseptic. Cover it with a plaster. Keep your feet as clean and dry as possible.

When you need to wear shoes I would wear socks to reduce the friction and try and keep the dressing in place. Don't wear socks directly on top of the cut whilst it is open as fluff etc may stick to it. Avoid particular pairs of shoes that make your feet sweat a lot if you can.

Leave the cut open to the air when you can, perhaps sit with your feet up on the couch while you watch TV etc.

Keep the cut out of direct contact with the ground until it is fully healed. Don't even take a step outside without shoes on. Indoors, if you want to go without shoes, make sure the wound is fully covered with a plaster whilst there is any chance it could still be open. Wearing socks would actually provide some limited barrier to keep the dressing clean.

Consult a doctor if there are signs of increased infection, healing does not occur or you are concerned in any other way.

Hope it gets better soon.
