I have removed an ingrown toenail but the corner of my toe is still very swollen!


Question:

I have removed an ingrown toenail but the corner of my toe is still very swollen 2 days later?

This was a 20 minute home operation and my concern is that it is infected. The doctor told me to soak my foot in salt water but it does not seem to help.

Please Help!

I have opened it up with tweezers to see if there is anything left inside the past two days. My concern is that if i let it heal i don't want to have left a nail shard inside.

Well I was going thru the same thing long time ago. But the doctor removed the whole toe nail. Now I am not going thru that mess. When the doctor removed the toe nail, he even removed the root of it to as well.
