Question: Why does my knee give out when walking?
It doesn't happen very often, but sometimes my left knee will randomly give out when i'm walking. It doesn't hurt, and no popping sounds occur when this happens. It will give out, but I only lose my balance for a second. I don't have a history of knee problems, but I've played basketball for fun since High School. I am now 28.

Could be a degenerative joint disease in the knee. I recommend you see an orthopedic medical specialist for your condition and have them perform a diagnostic test. That way, you can find out the nature & extent of the problem and a treatment plan can be formed.
