Is hammertoe surgery very painful with a long recovery?
I have been to 2 different foot doctors, and one said that they would have to put a rod in my two different toes, and the other saif that all they would do is remove part of the bone. The first doc said that I would have to be off my feet for 6 weeks and the other one said that I would be able to walk the same day as the surgery. Who do i believe? Websites, advice.....please?

Nah it not pain full at all. It's more pain full to have the hammer toe. I have had 6 surgeries on my feet for a birth defeat and a HAMMERS TOE IS NOTHING
