Is it okay to sleep with a concussion?!

Question: Is it okay to sleep with a concussion?
I hit the top of my head really hard on the back of my dad's car earlier today...I'm not 100% sure that I have a concussion, but even hours later my head still hurts a little, and even a little on the back of my neck. My mom offered to take me to the hospital a few times, but I declined because I didn't want to waste her time/money because I assumed it wasn't serious. Now I'm starting to regret it...my mom is asleep now and I don't want to wake her up, but I am really tired and I don't want to sleep :/ I hear that some people go into comas and stuff...I just want to be safe. I kind of want to go to the hospital just to make sure everything is okay but I don't want to bother my mom and its really late...what should I do?

Answers:

You shouldn't worry too much, unless there was clear or pinkish fluid coming your ears or nose. If there was such fluid. Then you would need to be seen by a doctor. If there wasn't such fluid, then you are okay. Just might have a head ache for a while. You could do a self check.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND WAKE YOUR MOM UP! SHE LOVES YOU AND WANTS WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU! DO NOT GO TO SLEEP, THAT IS WHAT HAPPEND TO BILLIE MAYS. he hit his head on an airplane and didnt know he suffered a concussion. he went 2 sleep and unfortunately he passed away. MONEY IS NOT AN ISSUE WHEN IT COMES TO LIFE AND HEALTH!

you gotta go to the hospital. its dangerous at this point. usually if your head still hurts after a long period of time or if you feel groggy then it's time to go to the doctor. you should've went earlier so go now before it's too late!!

when you enter deep sleep, you might forget everything that happend that day or you could slip into a coma and die (yikes) go to your mom and tell her about your head before its too late1!!
