Question: Finger caught between window, felt like it was cut off. Help?
Okay so last night I got my pointer finger stuck between the part where the actual window and the slider part go beside each other. It didn't hurt that much initially but fast forward 2 minutes later it felt like it somebody had cut my fingernail in half. I was dumbfounded by the fact that there wasn't even a scratch on the nail.

TLDR : Finger caught in window, extreme pain not even a scratch.

It didn't pain at first because of the shock and swelling doesn't occur right away. The pain is caused because of the compression that happened and because the swelling started. It may bruise later. You may need to take an appropriate pain medication. If you can move the finger and there does not seem to be any significant damage, you could apply an ice pack for 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off to reduce swelling, and this will also help with the pain. Soaking it in an Epsom salts bath might help. If you think your finger might be fractured you should see your doctor. And if it was the area of your fingernail that got jammed, be prepared that you might lose the fingernail.
