Eustachian tube clogged?!

Question: Eustachian tube clogged?
I think my eustachian tube is clogged or blocked. When I breath in hard I can feel air build up in my ear and it will just stay there. I try to hold my nose and try to pop my ear, but all I feel/hear is a weird puffing noise, like its clogged or blocked. Is there anything I can do to unblock it?

Try an antihistamine, take your pharmacist's advice as some make people drowsy.
A cold or allergy can block the Eustachian tube due to congestion in the nasal lining. This prevents the normal flow of fluid from the middle ear. It normally opens when we yawn or swallow to allow secretions to drain from the middle ear. It also keeps air pressure equal both sides of the eardrum.

Years on an ENT unit

You could try some nasal decongestants to er dry out the tubes. If it persists then you might want to get it checked out by a doctor in case you have an ear infection.
