Bruised toenail now for 4 months?!

Question: Bruised toenail now for 4 months?
I've had a big black bruise underneath my big toenail for nearly 5months now.

Its not painful, but the nail itself is certainly dead..
I';ve noticed recently that my toenail looks as if its being pushed upwards in the center of the nail, from the layer underneath.. its hard to explain but its as if its becoming much more 'rounded' sort of bulging slightly.

Like I say, it doesn't hurt and its not painful, but because theres so much dead skin/dried blood and obviously a new layer forming under the nail, if I push on it, I can't feel the nail bed because theres so much crap underneath.

Is this old toenail ever going to fall off? Its definately made progress since 2 months ago lol but it doesn't seem to look like its going to come off..

At the top of my toenail where its cut short, it seems to look like another nail growing underneath it! as you can see it coming out from the top... its either a new thin nail or a very thick layer of skin coming out the top..

Answers:

if you really are the girl in ur pic or are as hot as that, I wouldn't care about your toenail. lol

Anyway, you have to remove it and then let another one grow back in like 4 months.

Anyway
Good Luck

It may end up being completely replaced by another growing from underneath...

I'm still watching a red blob on my thumbnail from a sharp knock directly to the cuticle & lunular, so it's been growing out from the very beginning [base] of the nail - I was repairing my bicycle last year, maybe as long ago as November and it's now just at around the last fifth towards the end, still a couple of months to go before it's completely gone.

when a broken pillar fell on my finger and killed my fingernail, what the doctors did is they removed the nail completely and said that if we dont remove the nail and clean the skin underneath and get rid of the blood collecting under the skin, the new nail would grow out all crooked like a cornchip and the old one would take a long time to fall off
