I suffer with chronic pain h/aI am desperate as what to do.?

MY pain managementdr told me to the er if it is after hours, not to my primarycare. I went last night and was given toradol/vistaril and was refused anything stronger. Im not a frequent flyer, she would not check my chart. my friend took me to another er close by. they said that the hospital doesnot treat chronic pain but wiukd give me nonnarcotiv iv meds. I agees, i wasin so much pain I was given benadryl decadron,and a few others.was there tit3am. the other hopsital called to tell them that i was coming.They said my pain managemen told me to take vicodin7.5 and go home. That med was given for abad tooth,I followed his protocoal did everything that I was going to do. Any help please, I cant continuewith this pain,thax may have saved my life

To answer your queston. I've had horribledepression since1981. I have chronic h/as. I do get pain medication. some times breakthru is terrible. I wait until I can't take it anymore before the er. treat me like ***t. You have to have your blood streaming before being taken seriously. I have followed the protocol, doesn't seem to help. I have had every therapy I can get. Thanks for the answers. I am really depressed and just about ready to hit the big one. AND NO I did not overtake my meds.

What is causing your chronic pain? You may want to look into a Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS)..it has helped me with my chronic pain a lot, but depending on what is causing yours it may or may not work for you. Here is the website to get more info from www.ans-medical.com
