Knee, ankle, toe pain?!

Question:

Knee, ankle, toe pain?

I am 22 and for at leat a year I have pain in both knees and cannot bend. It is worse when I wake up or have been sitting for a long time. Also I get bad pain in some of my toes and underneath my toes on both feet when I walk. The longer I walk the worse it gets and they become swollen and stiff. Also I have had a stiff neck for years.

My doctor can't figure out what is wrong. I was tested for arthritis but the results were negative. I have been going to physiotherapy but that has only helped my knees a little bit and has not helped my toes at all.

What is wrong and what can I do.

Answers:

here are your differentials:

1. you could have an autoimmune disorder. ask your doctor to check for them. SLE is one cause of bone pain.

2. it could be gout

3. it could just be arthritis. the treatment for that is aspirin. talk to your doctor before starting any meds. ask him/her if aspirin is ok for you.

4. do you have psoriasis??? it could cause the pain.

5. see a good orthopedician.

good luck :)
