I have degenerative disc disease is it normal to have shoulder pain with it to?

i have shoulder pain and head and neck pain with it to is this normal with degenerative disc disease

I have come to learn that with this disease, everything can hurt!! :+)
But yes, it is normal for shoulders and especially your neck to hurt. Since this disease usually effects the lower back first, you unconsciously compensate your movements to accommodate it. I find when I have the worse neck pain is after I have done to much for the day. But remember you have discs' all the way up to the head, so just to be safe you may want to ask for another MRI of your C Spine area.
