Growth on wrist is making my arm hurt and now it's turning purple?

I've had this growth on my wrist since I was a kid. I was always told it was a fatty cyst and was nothing. It's now from one side of the wrist to the other and is multiple bumps. The veins going from it throughout my arm are purple and bruised and my fingers keep falling asleep. My whole arm keeps getting tingly and numb. The doctor said it was fatty tittue growth and to just rub analgesic on it or something like that. But i am in pain! Anyone have a growth like this before? I am only 24 and in otherwise great health!

You're right, a gangleion cyst was what the first doctor said it was back when I was 7.

i do know of someone who had a similar problem, what happened it would up being a ganglion cyst they often affect wrists, what happens they have roots that spread and could cause nerve pain, you really need to see a specialist, like a othopedic syrgeon, thois person had it removed and is pain free, see your doc and good luck
