Is it normal to take naps everyday?!

Is it normal to take naps everyday?

I'm a teenager and recently I've been finding the need to nap everyday.

During the school year I'd get about 6 or 7 hours of sleep everynight, and I work on my farm one day a week which drained me. So I'd take naps often, which I thought was quite normal.

But now, its been summer vacation for about 3 weeks. I usually go to sleep around 1 and wake up around 9, but I still feel the need to nap everyday around 2:30. When I do nap I sleep anywhere from 1 hour to 4 hours.

I find it hard to keep my eyes open in the car, while reading, or watching TV and movies. I'm always the first one to fall asleep at my friends' houses, even when I do nap. For example today I took a four hour nap that lasted until 7, and now I'm sleepy again.

Is it normal for me to be so tired all of the time? I understand being tired on days when I do work, because its very physically exhausting, but on days I don't work, I don't even do that much that would make me tired.

its not only normal to take naps, its healthy.

Did you know that in Spain, business owners actually close down their shops between 2 and 4 for the "siesta"? its true. Its part of their culture.

If you are finding that you are too tired all the time, talk with your physician to make sure you dont have some other medical problem.

Also sleeping TOO much will cause fatigue because your body gets too used to the lack of activity.
