I have HMO and i have get surgery can i go to any hospital?

i have aetna hmo but my carrier (facey medical group) is making me wait more that a week just to talk to a surgeon, while my pain only gets worse, I'm afraid,Iwon't be helped in some other doctor, I'm in pain but i went twice to emergency room and they say i need the surgery, go talk to my doctor, give pain medication and send me home, help i'm in pain.

Sure you can go. But don't expect the HMO to pay for all or maybe even any of it.

It may be, however, that the surgeon just doesn't have a sooner appointment. While your problem is certainly important to you, it may be (viewed objectively) less serious than someone else's.
