Can I get some medical advice?

My upper back and left shoulder/arm is hurting so bad. The pain is excruciating. Please don't tell me to go to the doctor. I have an appointment set for Thursday. But I was wondering if anyone has a clue about what might be the problem and what I might be able to do between now and then to relieve the pain.

I'll elaborate on what I'm feeling: My lower neck and upper back is sore (like how we feel when we get the flu). Same with my left shoulder. The pain radiates down my left arm-- But, the further down it goes, it feels more like sunburn or like I held my arm over the stove until I got a bit fried. Know what I mean? Asprin isn't killing the pain. Pain killers aren't helping. And I have drank so much booze that my belly is STUFFED.

Does anyone have any advice? Know what's wrong with me or what I could do to ease the pain 'til I see the doc?
