Cat bite..what to watch for? Please help?!

Question:

Cat bite..what to watch for? Please help?

Hi...I was bitten by a cat about 5 hours ago and I'm allergic to every antibiotic I ever tried so don't want to take them unless I really have to. The question is how/when do I know if I really have to take them?
At this point there are no obvious signs of infection that I can see, but the arm is feeling very bruised, and a bone under one of the bites is feeling bruised (even though that particular wound doesn't look as deep as the others). I feel well otherwise, just very sore.
What should I be watching for? How long will it take for me to see symptoms?
Thanks

I should add that there is pain and swelling, but no redness at this time.

I should add I have seen a doc, she was nasty, gave me antibiotics not caring that I was allergic to them.

Answers:

as said before localized redness and swelling is normal but if it gets extremely tender and you start to see a red line forming along a vein or between punctures then you need to go see a doctor seeing as an infection is manifesting.

for right now go get some hydrogen peroxide and use it to clean the woulds along with anti-bacterial soap
