i was in a car wreck b ack 5 yrs ago , hav e a plate in my r ight ankle and now it has started going num b quiet often , what would b e making this happen

It is probably some type of nerve damage possible from the plate or another more recent injury. I would see a doctor to see if they can find a logical explanation for this.
