Just a silly ques..but what would cause your thumb nails to become purple?

Ok if you are born in the South you might know this. Garden season.. Ok put your thinking caps on. Just something trival that I thought was interesting. So hop to it and the first one who answers right will get 10 points. And I know how to get rid of that purple color..LOL Not sure of where this catagory needs to go.

Sorry folks not even close. Keep guessing.. Hint its got something to do with harvesting this item and you shell it. That's all.. Come on folks dont tell me there arent some older folks out there who have done this.

My husband and I were shelling some of these but lemon juice will get the stain off.

I know if you have bad circulation your toe nails will turn purple.. not sure about fingernails though. Since you mentioned gardening I would think it has something to do with plant food or the juice from the plants staining the nail
