Switching Day to Night?

I've been working the nightshift for the past 3 months. How long will it take my body to adjust to being awake in the day? (I typically wake up around 7pm and go to sleep around 9am; hoping to switch to waking up around 9am, and going to sleep around 11pm)


Answers:

You could probably do it in about 3 days with some discomfort- but a week would be better. Start readjusting as soon as possible. That means waking up earlier and earlier so that you can go to sleep at night. I would also suggest that when you are working days again to avoid sleeping in on the weekends (no matter how tempting) because you will quicly shift back to night owl status. Good luck.
