Going to bed late, waking up late. Still tired?!

Question: Going to bed late, waking up late. Still tired?
So usually when its a school night I go to bed around 10, and wake up at 7. However, since I am now on break, I've been going to bed around 1 and getting up at 10-10:30. Even though I go to bed late, I am still getting the same amount of sleep, why is it that I am so tired throughout the day?

Answers:

When you stay up later even if you sleep the same amount you are more tired. This is due to melatonin production being higher in the dark. When you sleep during daylight hours it's not as deep of a sleep so your body doesn't get nearly as rested.

Your body has its own internal clock that controls your natural cycle of sleeping and waking hours. In part, your body clock controls how much melatonin your body makes. Normally, melatonin levels begin to rise in the mid- to late evening, remain high for most of the night, and then drop in the early morning hours causing you to wake.

If you dont do something when u first wake up u will feel tierd most of the day or if you do alot of work or something that can (ware you out) it can make you tierd so dont do to much work in the mornings if u are i hope this helped btw i was dealing with then i just started waking up and exercising for a few mins and felt great but if i lazed around i would sometimes start getting tierd again so i would do push ups to wake me up again

You may be oversleeping and when you do this it causes you to become lazy. You need to wake up a bit earlier or closer to your usual schedule.
