Sleeping Problem - Please Help!?!

Question:

Sleeping Problem - Please Help!?

This last month started with the pulling of my abscess tooth, being on Clindamycin and then came the sleeping problem. I thought I had C-Diff from meds, but the tests came back neg. I was so worried about it, but I truly did feel like crap, nausea, irregular bowels , no appetite and just very run down feeling. I have been to the doc and ER 4 times trying to figure it out....tests have been ran, and all come out normal. I am just told it is viral. About 6 days ago, I noticed that after I had slept, upon waking I would feel nauseated and "gross" feeling, it only happened after I slept. So I started worrying about sleeping because I just knew that I would feel crappy. Now, the crappiness has all but subsided and I am left with this sleeping problem. When I try to sleep, unless I take a Lorazepam (ER Visit) I am just unable to fall asleep, I will get to baseline sleep and something startles me and I am awake. I sweat, my heart races when I try to sleep. I woke fatigued too, help!?

I am pretty sure this started because of me being worried about having c-diff, and then if I went to sleep I would feel nauseated. The problem is it doesn't go away, now I know that I wont be nauseated and I apparently don't have c-diff...just this very troublesome sleep problem. My doctor scheduled me for a psych evaluation today so I am hoping that will help. I have also considered purchasing the Linden method. I just want sleep again, just one week ago it was no problem. Thanks for input guys!

Dear Patrick,
You’ve certainly brought your medical concerns to the right place! The Y!A community members are fully aware of and do appreciate the intimate conditions involving your prognosis. Most recognized doctors in the field of medicine would employ a holistic approach to your ailment.
Patrick, please begin your day with a well balanced breakfast to include ample servings of fruits and grains. After your morning routines are finished, enjoy a brisk walk around the block. If you happen to meet any stray dogs along the way, it would be a good idea to antagonize the creatures in order to add some vigor to your workout.
Now Patrick, the remaining portions of your day should be filled with interesting activities and new studies to keep your mind active and in balance, complimentary to what you have done with the physical side of yourself.
After loitering around at the public library all afternoon with a bunch of smelly hobos, you can appreciate a warm bath and time to be good to yourself. Begin to collect an archive of various music genres that you can resolve one day to enjoy after you get the rest of your chores done.
Patrick, if after following my advice, simply take two aspirin and forget we ever had this little discussion.
Thank you, Patrick. Have a great day!
