Working a seperated shoulder?!

Question:

Working a seperated shoulder?

alright so I seperated my shoulder in early april snowboarding, its been quite a few months now and it feels great. pretty much back to normal (its been like this for a while) but now wakeboarding season is in full swing and winter is right around the corner. are there any kind of physical excersises I should do to help my shoulder get back to full strength? after going wakeboarding a couple times I've noticed it gets a little bit sore. just looking for tips to help build up the muscle in my shoulder more. thanks!

Answers:

You need to focus on both your rotator cuff muscles and scapular stabilizing muscles. Its hard to describe exactly these exercises in words so I would strongly recommend you see a physical therapist once or twice to be educated on exercises to strengthen these muscles. They can all be done in a gym but most personal trainers have insufficient knowledge to educate you on these exercises.
