Is it a good idea to take a nap after a session of physical therapy for a back i!

Question:

Is it a good idea to take a nap after a session of physical therapy for a back injury?

Isn't it better to keep moving after excercising?

Answers:

It depends on for what type of back problem you have. If it is for a derragnement syndrome (aka herniated or bulging disc)...it's better to keep moving. Returing to the lying position may undo what you've done in PT. If it's for general conditioning or strengthening, it may be OK for you to take a nap afterwards...especially if you have chronic fatigue syndrome or fibromyalgia. But these are broad generalizations...best to confir with the PT who's been seeing you.
