You have worn cartilage and you need to see a doctor to be referred to a consultant. There are then various options which they will discuss with you. Typically physiotherapy, minor operation, less minor operation through to major partial or total knee replacement.
I have just gone through total replacement.

Are you hyperextending them? That means that you would bend them into a "locked" straight position. Women are particularly subject to this problem due to physiology and posture. If you keep your knees slightly bent at all times instead of locking them back, that might help. You will not get instant results, so you will have to develop different habits of standing and walking. It is worth a try.

You could try wearing knee-warmers or leg-warmers. They're a furry fabric tube that fits over your legs at the knees.

Thermal undewear or extra layers of clothing might keep your legs warm.

Insulated footwear may help.

It sounds like the cold is reducing the circulation in your legs and knees.

Sitting in a hot bath until your legs warm up should help.

You bend them too much. Keep your legs straight and avoid bending them. Bring your knees in contact with the sunlight. THey won't hurt after, like, a week if you do so.

Hope your knees get well :)
Have a good day

Drink alot of milk daily atleast 1liter a day and get exposed to the sun. (no jerking off/sex)
