Has anyone ever had a back injury from first session with chiropractor?!

Question:

Has anyone ever had a back injury from first session with chiropractor?

I saw a chiropractor for the first time on Monday, ever since then I have had horrable pain in my back. I have gone to see him everyday since. Is it possable that he hurt my back? I had never seen a chiropractor before. He has only "ajusted" my back that one time. I went to see him because I have had lower back pain since I was pregnant (which was 4 years ago), and I finally got good insurance coverage, and couldn't stand the pain anymore.

I felt fine after I saw him that day, but then the next day, and days after, I have been experienced burning down my spine, numbness & tingling, and pain in random areas of my back.

I am a CNA, so lifting, bending, turning, and twisting are a part of my daily routine. I did not injure, or have I ever injured my back at work.

I guess my question is, has anyone else had a similar expereience seeing a chiroprator? If so please explain.

He is a nice guy, but kinda treating me like I am faking it. He even made me get my back x-rayed.

Answers:

It's standard procedure for a Chiropractor to X-ray your back especially if your complaining about chronic pain. He is trying to prevent further injury by taking the x-ray's. If he sees something on the x-ray that is out of his scope of practice then he will tell you, you need to see an orthopedic surgeon, he also does it see how far out you are so he can properly adjust ya...... However, it sounds like a a pinched nerve, you could of had the pinched nerve prior to going to see him and him adjust you aggravated it more or by him adjusting you he could of pinched a nerve (easily done but honestly that is the risk you take going to a chiropractor.) Ask him about the pinched nerve and see what he tells you. If you don't get the answers your looking for then you may want to see Orthopedic. I hope this helps.

P.S. I went a chiropractor ONE time I was so scared of him cracking my bones, I was too tense for him to do anything. (LOL)
