Whats the best drug to relieve pain after surgery?

I got my appendix taken out last night and while I was in the hospital I got morphine to control my pain. I was doing well so they sent me home with a percocet. Now I'm in tons of pain. I've been taking 350mg of percocet every four hours as directed. Should I be feeling so much pain while on the percocet? Is there anything stronger I could ask for?

percocet is one of the strong ones, if you aren't getting any relief at all contact your doctor. the pain will decrease a little each day as you start to heal.
