Answers:

It's called a migraine, honey. And there is nothing you can do but try to rest through it. And they are definitely stress-related.

I'm sorry! They are NASTY things.

If you get one again, though, stronger painkillers than aspirin will take the edge off (it won't go away though!) as long as you take them STRAIGHT AWAY you feel it coming on. That's just in case you're sick though, you can take them any time but they might make you throw up. You've already taken aspririn, so this is safe to do: take 2 paracetamol and one 400mg tablet of ibuprofen together. Make sure none of these tablets is actually a mixture of ingredients (not Anadin, for example, which usually has aspirin and paracetamol together). If you do take the ibuprofen try to have some food as well (it's not good on an empty stomach as it irritates the stomach lining) or at the very least a glass of milk.

EDIT: If its so bad you can't sleep you should wake your mom and ask her to find you some painkillers - she won't mind!! I had migraines much more at your age than I do now. My mom used to give me a half-dose of those effervescent co-codamol tablets, you dissolve them in water and because they're liquid they get absorbed much quicker. They taste nasty but she used to mix it with a little orange juice for me, then it was just like a fizzy orangeade. You still might not be able to sleep, though, but you're much better off resting than looking at a computer screen. I found that if I stayed lying completely motionless for long enough, the pain was manageable. Any slight movement though would trigger an incredible thumping pain that was like being whacked upside the head... Which meant I couldn't even turn over when I got uncomfortable, because the pain was just too much to bear!

I know it's not what you want to hear, but there really is NO do-this-and-it-will-go-away answer! You just have to wait it out. And it WILL subside!
