Glow stick chemical in eye: has anyone had an experience w/ this? My daughter (10y/o) was playing w/ a...?

...glowstick bracelet, which broke, & some of the chemical got into her eye. We rinsed it w/ water, then applied saline eye drops & a wet cool cloth, which she said helped. Her eye was still red & a bit swollen, but she fell asleep & seems to be ok. I read online this chemical is non-toxic but causes irritation. I called poison control, & they said she should be fine.

Any similar experiences w/ getting glowstick chemical in the eyes? I think she's ok, but I'm still a little concerned.

My little sister did the same thing. Her eye was red for a day then she was fine.

I'm pretty sure things will work out, if it wasn't safe it wouldn't be on the market (not without the proper warnings anyways). Try not to worry yourself too much.
