Why can't I fall asleep?!

Question:

Why can't I fall asleep?

Ok here's the deal. I take anti-depressent medication and ran out of it. I was fine without it, and started to wonder if I even needed it. But I decided to refill the prescription anyway. It had only been about a week I had'nt taken it. The morning I took it I notice I was much more energized. I wasn't even able to fall asleep that night at all! I watched the clock as the hours passed by and eventually I saw it was daylight outside. I thought it just might be due to a "high" from the pill, but the next night I couldn't sleep either. I also have a splittling headache and painful diarhea. This is the third night I can't fall asleep. I haven't taken any more pills in the last two days in case they caused the problem. I feel exhausted and soo tired, but I still can't fall asleep. What should I do?

Answers:

Call your doctor.
Anti-depressants are not a medicine to stop and start on your own.
