Neck pain?!

Neck pain?
This problem only happens on the left side of my neck and I will try my best to explain it. When I do anything that involves my neck turning to the left even the slightest move something like my nerve or maybe a muscle feels like it's being twisted or tied and when it gets untwisted and finally pops back straight, I get this sharp warm pain that goes up the side of my left neck. I mean I hurt so bad that oneday I had to tell my five year old daughter to call 911 because I was afraid that I was going to pass out; however I then told her not to call 911 and just dealt with the pain. I don't have any insurance to be able to go to the doctor to find out what's really wrong with me. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

sounds like a pinched nerve, roll a towel up and put it in the crook of your neck, lay on the floor,, and also take 600 MG of ibuprofen three times a day,,
