MRI scanning?!

Question:

MRI scanning?

Can MRI scans show laxity of ligaments? Or do they only show if a ligament is torn?

Answers:

Laxity is diagnosed using manual stress tests done by an orthopedic doctor or physical therapist. MRI's only show the state of health or damage of tissue. You can have laxity with healthy ligaments or with damaged ligaments.
