its not strep throat because i dont have the symptoms.

i have about 5 more cough drops . the best short term medicine ever.

i know people say drink lemon and honey but i dont have honey .
i tried tea , cough drops , any other options?

Answers:

Well the obvious suggestion I can make is to go see a doctor so then they can prescribe antibiotics.

My next suggestion is to take strong painkillers. Try something with codeine in it, unless you're allergic to codeine.

And lastly, gargle a cup of warm and extremely salty water. The salt will kill the bacteria on your tonsils. Don't swallow the salty water and don't rinse it off by having a drink straight after. Do that 2-3 times a day.

You can also drink milk. That will coat your throat and ease it a little.

you can buy over the counter numbing spray that will help lessen the pain for a little while or you can call your doctors office. They can give you suggestions of how to care for your throat, or schedule for an appointment. There are other things besides strep throat out there, so there isnt any real harm in getting a simple throat culture done to find out what it is you really have.
Hope this helps and best of luck hun.

Gargle warm water with a lot of salt in it. That helps temporarily.

I always get fishermans friend lozenges, they really help and are very cheap.
