Someone help; I have hunger pangs that won't go away, even when I eat. Anybody h!

Question:

Someone help; I have hunger pangs that won't go away, even when I eat. Anybody have ideas?

I'll admit, I'm a bit scared right now. Since this afternoon, I have had hunger pangs that won't go away; even when I eat. I ate a good lunch and I've had a cautious dinner. I have thought I might have anything from tapeworm to a symptom of diabetes. Diabetes is the one that really scares me because being Hispanic, it runs roads on our asses. I've seen what it can do; I'm scared to death of ever getting it. It has me checking labels and watching what I put in my mouth for sure. I don't know what it is that is wrong and the sooner I can find out, the better. Before anybody answers go to the doctor, I got to tell you beforehand: right now, I don't have insurance and I'm applying for it now because Mass. state requires everybody to get it now. It's hard for me to afford because I have other bills to pay so I'm just trying to see what my options are and hoping things will work out. Anyway, if anybody has an idea on why I'm having pangs that won't go away, please tell me. Thanks

I'm getting really scared, everybody. I don't know what's wrong with me and why this is happening. The hunger pangs are not stopping and today, as if things weren't worse, my right foot was going numb at work, with the numbness going up to my calf. I was really scared and I still am. Anybody have any ideas? I'm just feeling lonely and afraid right now. I'm fearing for the worst: that I'll be told once I get the means necessary to see a doctor that I have diabetes or something like that. I am so afraid of that disease and to get it would be like some of my biggest fears becoming reality. I don't know what I'd do..so if there's anybody out there with something, please..don't hesitate.

Answers:

One day of hunger pains isn't enough to diagnose diabetes. So please give yourself a break. You don't mention any other symptoms - so I'm guessing you are ok.

You may have an irritated stomach lining - I felt hungry all the time when I was developing an ulcer - and you sound like someone who might be working yourself into one with all your worrying. Try to take some Tums or another antacid - I bet you'll feel better. And STOP worrying so much! Do what you can to keep yourself healthy and fit and you will drastically reduce your chance of getting diabetes!!!
